Free Virtual Hands-On Lab provides a step-by-step demonstration of the procedures needed to deploy Oracle E-Business Suite Cloud Manager, provision an EBS environment, and then clone the environment. You can perform corresponding exercises as you follow along.
The lab consists of six chapters (sessions) that can be consumed independently of each other, and at your own pace.
Session 1: EBS Cloud Manager Architecture
A review of the Oracle E-Business Suite recommended architecture in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, this session provides guidance on how to organize your OCI tenancy for EBS deployment. Specifically, it takes into account the typical separation of duties between the diverse teams that manage the different aspects of your IT infrastructure.
Session 2: Oracle E-Business Suite Tenancy Preparation
Illustrating how to prepare a tenancy for E-Business Suite Cloud Manager deployment, this second session shows you how to obtain a tenancy and subsequently create the required governance, network and security definitions.
Session 3: EBS Cloud Manager Configuration
This third session is all about deploying and configuring the EBS Cloud Manager. It starts by walking you through the process of creating the Compute Instance based on the Cloud Manager image available in the OCI Marketplace. Subsequently, you will learn how to configue the Cloud Manager web application with your tenancy details, and then register the application with Oracle Identity Cloud Service (IDCS) to handle Cloud Manager authentication.
Session 4: Q&A About EBS Cloud Manager Configuration
This recorded Q&A session gave attendees the opportunity to ask questions about both the specifics of the Cloud Manager configuration process, and other topics related to running EBS on OCI.
Session 5: EBS One-Click Provisioning and Lift & Shift
Showing you Oracle E-Business Suite Cloud Manager in action, this fifth session demonstrates how to create an EBS on OCI environment in minutes and with only a few mouse clicks. This session also introduces some key concepts of the Lift and Shift process.
Session 6: EBS Cloning in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Advanced Provisioning
This final chapter shows you how to clone the environment created in Session 5, again in minutes and with only a few mouse clicks thanks to the infrastructure cloning capabilities provided by OCI.
